01What PRUF Is

1.1A Private Network

PRUF is a private platform operated by PRUF Systems Inc. Access is a privilege, not a right. Verification as human grants entry. Continued adherence to these terms maintains access.

1.2Not Social Media

PRUF does not serve advertisements, deploy engagement algorithms, sell user data, or optimize for time-on-screen. The network is funded by its participants through the stamp economy.

1.3Infrastructure, Not Landlord

PRUF provides verification infrastructure, storage, and dispute resolution. PRUF does not curate content, recommend connections, or editorialize feeds. Content appears in chronological order. Your feed is determined by your choices, not by PRUF's preferences.

02Identity and Verification

2.1One Human, One Hash

Each human may hold exactly one account on PRUF. Your identity is established through a cryptographic hash generated during verification. Attempting to create multiple accounts constitutes a violation of these terms.

2.2Verification

You are verified via face scan and device attestation. This confirms you are a real human without storing your personal data. PRUF does not possess your biometric data — only cryptographic hashes derived from it.

2.3Handle Assignment

Upon verification, you may claim a public handle in the format @name.node (e.g., @maya.lax). Your handle includes your chosen name and the node where you verified. Handles cannot be transferred, sold, or reassigned.

2.4Recovery

Account recovery requires multiple identity factors. If you lose access to your recovery code and your device, recovery may be impossible. PRUF cannot override the authentication system because PRUF does not possess your biometric data.

Keep your recovery code safe. It is shown once and never again.

03The Stamp Economy

3.1What Stamps Are

Stamps are PRUF's internal currency. They fund interactions and participation. Every action on PRUF has a stamp cost — this is by design. When participation costs something, spam costs something too.

3.2Stamp Acquisition

• Welcome Grant. 150 stamps upon first verification
• Earned. Stamps are earned through content engagement (when others stamp your posts)
• Received. Other users may send you stamps

3.4Stamp Properties

Stamps have no cash value outside of PRUF. Stamps are non-refundable. Stamps cannot be converted to fiat currency, cryptocurrency, or any external medium of exchange. Upon account termination, all stamps are forfeited.

04Content and Conduct

4.1Your Content, Your Hash

Content you post belongs to your hash. PRUF does not claim ownership, license rights, or derivative rights over your content. We do not use your content for advertising, AI training, or any purpose beyond storage and display within the network.

4.2Verified Photos

Photos captured with PRUF's verified camera carry a certification confirming the subject was verified to exist in three-dimensional space at the time of capture. This prevents AI-generated images and screen captures from entering the system with verified status. Verified photos display a trust indicator visible to all users.

4.3Content Moderation

All content is subject to automated review before publishing. Content that violates community guidelines may be blocked before it reaches other users. Additionally, any user may flag any post for human review.

Prohibited content includes:

• Nudity or sexual content
• Hate speech or slurs targeting protected groups
• Graphic violence or gore
• Harassment, bullying, or targeted attacks
• Personal information of others (doxxing)
• Spam or commercial solicitation
• Promotion of illegal activities or substances
• Credible threats of violence
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• AI-generated or deepfake imagery presented as verified
• Misinformation presented as fact

4.4Moderation Process

• AI Pre-Scan. Every post is analyzed before publishing. Content that clearly violates guidelines is blocked automatically. You are notified but not given specific details (to prevent gaming the system).
• User Flagging. Any user may flag a post they believe violates guidelines. Posts flagged by multiple users are automatically hidden pending review.
• AI Review. Flagged content is re-analyzed with the community feedback as context.
• Human Escalation. Ambiguous cases and appeals are reviewed by PRUF team members.

Content that is blocked or removed does not earn a refund of any stamps spent during creation.

4.5What Is NOT Prohibited

PRUF does not prohibit speech based on political viewpoint, religious belief, or ideological position. Moderation targets conduct (harassment, threats, illegal content), not opinion. Profanity alone is not a violation. Strong language, satire, and passionate debate are permitted.

05Strikes and Enforcement

5.1Strike System

Violations of community guidelines result in strikes against your hash.

5.2Immediate Action

Content classified as illegal (CSAM, terrorism, exploitation, credible threats of imminent violence) results in immediate permanent suspension. No strikes. No warnings. No appeal.

PRUF will comply with applicable legal reporting requirements, including mandatory reporting of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

5.3Strike Reset

Strikes reset after 6 months of clean behavior (no removed content).

5.4Appeals

If your content is removed, you may submit one appeal per removal. Your appeal is reviewed by a PRUF team member. The appeal decision is final. Your content remains hidden during the appeal process.

5.5PRUF's Role

PRUF retains final enforcement discretion under Section 230(c)(2) of the Communications Decency Act. The moderation system is a good-faith content moderation mechanism. PRUF may take direct action against accounts for legal compliance and imminent safety threats.

06Account Termination

6.1Voluntary Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your content is removed and your hash is retired. Anonymous transaction records may remain for system integrity.

6.2Permanent Suspension

Permanent suspension results from accumulating 4 strikes or posting illegal content. A permanently suspended hash cannot create a new account because the same biometric input produces the same hash. All stamps are forfeited. All privileges are permanently revoked.

6.3Inactive Accounts

PRUF has no mechanism to verify death or extended absence because PRUF does not know who you are. Inactive accounts remain indefinitely.

07Limitation of Liability

PRUF provides verification infrastructure, storage, and dispute resolution. PRUF does not guarantee the accuracy of automated moderation decisions, which is why an appeal process exists. PRUF's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the claimant in the 12 months preceding the claim.

PRUF provides the infrastructure. Humans provide the judgment.

08Changes to These Terms

Updated terms will be published at pruf.network/terms with a changelog. Notification will be delivered through in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you may request account deletion.

09Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
